My Journey

What a journey I have been on these past almost seven years
Times to laugh, cry, shout and cheer
I have met so many wonderful people along the way
A big thank you to them all from the heart
I'd really like to say
It is not easy to think of where to start
A very special person who I will eternally treasure
The unconditional love that you can't measure
In life people come and go
But my little sister will be there, I know
As she has been all along for me
I am blessed with her for all the world to see
Another beautiful soul, who I must mention here
Is my wonderful elderly(young at heart)friend, so very dear
She is what I call a gem, for sure
Precious than a sparkling jewel; much much more
Everyone has choices to make
Regrets to have; risks to take
On life's road, I did discover
That it is better to face the fear and recover
A tender moment I will forget; never
Reunited with my beautiful daughter; at last together
At our lives, we have only one go
It is too short, we all know
God has guided me all the way
Never forsaking me any day
In strength and faith growing
Even though about the future; not knowing
The wonder of life, I wish to celebrate
I have climbed emotional mountains, that were great
But all the moments put together
I wouldn't change anything; not ever
Wisdom from our troubles, we gain
Our positiveness and sense of humour, we can retain
Look for happiness within yourself; do
You can make your dreams come true
God gives life to us on earth
Each one of us; so much to Him are worth
Looking back, I have come so far, I realise
After stress, I found love and contentment; a wonderful prize
