Mick has loved Middlesbrough English soccer team or Boro as they are known
Since from a child; he has grown
In NRL Mick is happy to see West Tigers roar
As this is the side that he barracks for

My Journey

What a journey I have been on these past almost seven years
Times to laugh, cry, shout and cheer
I have met so many wonderful people along the way
A big thank you to them all from the heart
I'd really like to say
It is not easy to think of where to start
A very special person who I will eternally treasure
The unconditional love that you can't measure
In life people come and go
But my little sister will be there, I know
As she has been all along for me
I am blessed with her for all the world to see
Another beautiful soul, who I must mention here
Is my wonderful elderly(young at heart)friend, so very dear
She is what I call a gem, for sure
Precious than a sparkling jewel; much much more
Everyone has choices to make
Regrets to have; risks to take
On life's road, I did discover
That it is better to face the fear and recover
A tender moment I will forget; never
Reunited with my beautiful daughter; at last together
At our lives, we have only one go
It is too short, we all know
God has guided me all the way
Never forsaking me any day
In strength and faith growing
Even though about the future; not knowing
The wonder of life, I wish to celebrate
I have climbed emotional mountains, that were great
But all the moments put together
I wouldn't change anything; not ever
Wisdom from our troubles, we gain

Football is the game to love
All other sports; above
The ANZ stadium is the best
With a capacity of 82,000
Why bother with the rest
18 men from 2 teams are on the field during play
Plus each side has 4 interchange ones on game day
There are 4/20 minute quarters in all
26-30 minutes if the ball out of bounds
The umpire calls
Time-on will be added to make up for play

The field umpire, for play to begin, his whistle, he blows
Slamming the ball into the turf, for the bounce

The Rose

My love is like a red, red rose. The words are those of the Scottish Poet Robert Burns back in the eighteenth century. Nothing symbolises love more strongly than the red rose and it is one of the most romantic flowers in the world today. The second oldest flower is the buttercup.

The History Of The Rose

The rose’s historical significance is also found to be in Greek mythology. When the Goddess of love Aphrodite mourned the death of her lover Adonis she was said to have scratched her foot on a white rose's thorn and so the red rose came to be. This flower has now become one of the most powerful floral symbols of never ending love. The rose and its thorns can be like love and must handled with care for fear of causing pain and distress.

Roses and Their Colour

A single rose where its bud is still closed is said to say “I Love You”. A red rose whose bud has opened into full bloom is said to mean "I love you with all of my heart and soul."
Red denotes love, passion respect and courage.
White is said to signify purity, innocence and peace
White and red rose conveys the message of unity; is the emblem of England.
Yellow is most commonly related to friendship, happiness and joy and new beginnings.
Orange is said to signify desire and attraction.
Peach communicates the message of modesty.
Crimson Rose conveys mourning and loss.
Blue is related to mystery and the unattainable.
Well being and abundance is associated with the color green ((these are off-white roses with shades of green )
Purple or Lavender is said to demonstrate to the recipient love at first sight.
Pink is said to signify both sweetness and gentleness.
Black rose signifies death and decay
A perfectly blue rose is still elusive like the black rose.

Two roses that are intertwined, or stems wrapped around one another, expresses a marriage of ideas.
Two red roses intertwined actually means "marry me."
A purple and blue rose together means love at first sight, but the love is unattainable.
Roses are a wonderful way to convey a symbolic message. By combining colors and numbers of roses, the messenger can truly express his or her feelings without saying a word.
The rose, in all it’s colors, numbers and stages of bloom is a flower that can truly live up to its reputation as the Queen of the floral kingdom.

Santa Claus (For Mick)

Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and Vixen
Comet, Cupid, Donder and Blitzen
Santa’s eight; the only flying reindeer
Are fed a special diet; all year
To make them fast as the speed of light
Aided by magic dust on that unique night
In Santa’s workshop, busy are his elves
Little helpers attired in outfits of green
Surrounded by toys, stacked high on floor to ceiling shelves
Brightly wrapped presents of every shape and size, can be seen
All preparations have to be completed by Christmas Eve
At the precise hour, the sleigh must leave
The jolly rotund red- suited gentleman with a beard coloured white
Whose enormous sack is full to overflowing, for this important flight
Brings happiness and joy
To every adult, girl and boy
Santa around the world is well known
In numerous story books, his picture is shown
Santa’s sleigh is all packed up and ready
With his hands on the reins, Santa holds it steady
Their master’s voice, the reindeer hear
It’s the most exciting night of the year
Leaving the snow of the North Pole behind
The driver of the Christmas Express knows the exact route
He’s not flying blind
Santa Claus doesn’t only deliver presents, that’s for sure
He gives so much more
Wonderful gifts, that are a pleasure to receive
To all who can look deep inside to believe
The meaning of Christmas is beyond measure

The storm swept through like a train on a track
Driving rain and strong winds; it didn’t lack
Powerfully against the windows; slapped
Rumbling thunder; loudly clapped

Such occurrences must take their course

Why The Crow Is Black

You know the story of Noah’s Ark
How all the animals went in two by two
Well, I’ll tell you why the crow is black, all dark
This happened when the world was new
God called all the animals, so they could
Receive a colour of their own
Each separate species assembled, as they should
The crow said,” If only he had known”
There were all the colours of the rainbow
Blue, Purple, Yellow, Orange, Red and Green
The peacock put on quite a show
The most spectacular ever seen
The crow came too late
The only colour left was black
He had to accept his fate
Self pity, he didn’t lack
